About

H.R. Christian was born in mid-century Columbia, South Carolina and “expatriated” to New York City over twenty years ago. After holding jobs from street vendor and jewelry designer to DJ to librarian, he has written books that take place in the south, and are about everything from old Gullah legends to gay mediums to nine year old serial killers to teenage drag queens. He is currently working on his seventh book, I Am The Poem That Does Not Rhyme, a young adult novel about a not-so-distant dystopian future where health and happiness comes from one little pill, with one very dark side effect. He is shopping his Gullah trilogy to agents and publishers now.
